What to Expect from your Fairy Photoshoot

Posted on March 3, 2021 by Admin under Uncategorized

Tony and I get so excited to meet the children and their Mummies, Daddies and Grandparents when we are waiting for them to arrive for their booked appointment.

Tony always waits outside to greet our little guests before they come into the house. After all, they don’t know either of us and they are coming into a strange environment.

But, when they see the animals and the Fairies in the garden before they even come inside, they are usually raring to go.

The first thing they see when they come inside, is the double rail of Fairy Costumes and pretty Head-dresses; and then they are hooked.

We never rush the children and always give them as long as they need to settle and feel comfortable before we even start the adventure. We always offer our guests a drink first and have a chat (like old friends) but sometimes the children are ready straight away.

Tony asks them some questions i.e: he tries to guess their age and always gets it wrong which makes them laugh; he talks to them about the Fairies in the house and how do we know they are there. This leads to finding the Fairy Trail.

We get quite a few parents (and Grandparents) who don’t tell their little ones that they are having a Fairy Adventure so when they get here, it’s a complete surprise.

Of course, this can cause problems, but we always take our time to let the children feel comfortable and get them used to us and their new surroundings, but it literally only takes up to 5 or 10 minutes before they are running around looking for the Fairy Trail.

Of course, it can backfire on some parents, but it has only happened to us once.

Mummy hadn’t told her daughter what was happening and she refused point blank to have anything to do with it.

Tony took himself off to prepare the studio and give the child some space. I showed her all the Fairy costumes and head-dresses (this usually gets the children so excited to choose which dress they want to wear from the wide range on the clothes rail). But No, this little one wasn’t having any of it.

I told Mum not to worry, we had lots of time and I wanted the little one (she was about 7 so not so little) to get comfortable with her surroundings and with me.

I couldn’t tempt her with a drink or anything but eventually she was getting closer to coming with me to take a look at the Magical Enchanted Forest.

Just has we were making some headway, Mummy told her that if she behaved, she would buy her a McDonalds and get her some chocolate.

Well, that was it; she refused to go any further and told Mummy that she wanted a McDonalds and some chocolate NOW.

At this point, I decided that this child was not going to enjoy this Fairy Adventure (even if I did manage to get her to get dressed) so we had to leave it for now. There was no way we were going to make a child do something she didn’t want to do and, as Mum was on her mobile phone most of the time I was trying hard to persuade the child to take a look, I knew that I was losing the battle.

Thankfully, this has only happened this once in the whole 7 years of starting our Fairy business!!!!

We always take the children into the Magical Enchanted Forest before they are transformed into Fairies as we want them to really enjoy the adventure and it’s important that they are happy with us so that we can capture those magical moments for them.

All our little Fairies make a Fairy Wish on our Magical Fairy Globe during their adventure and we encourage them not to tell anyone what they wish for, otherwise it may not come true.

One of our little Fairies had no hesitation in knowing what she wished for and about half an hour after they left, Mummy sent me a message saying that they had just had the surprise of their lives when they got home.

This beautiful little girl was devastated when her older brother went travelling 2 years previously and her Fairy Wish was that her brother would come home.

They had just got home after their Fairy Adventure when the door opened and in walked this little Fairies big Brother. Her Fairy Wish had just come true !!!!!!

We were in bits hearing this – the pure magic that little girl must have felt being able to hug her precious brother again after a whole 2 years.

This is the wonder of the Magical Enchanted Forest !!!!!
